The Mythic Lamp Series is a new collection of handbuilt sculptural lamps, inspired by the mythic power of Britain's ancient cultural and physical landscape. The pieces embody this storied past, and are a potent interplay of the innately ancient expressed in a modern style. Textured, elemental and a potent mix of the modern and the mythic, the Cerne table lamp is a hand sculpted design. Working initially in plaster, Martin uses this traditional material to build and refine the final form.

The Mythic Series explores the creative tension between simple minimalism, rich natural materials and hand crafted surface textures. Working initially in plaster, Martin's pieces are cast in bronze before being hand patinated. The designs are a celebration of the pleasure of the hand made and the unique mark of the creative artist.

Each light is made to order in a signed and numbered limited edition of 50, hand cast from Martin’s original sculpture.
