Origin is one of a unique series of sculptures by Martin Huxford. The white marble lamp is an exciting juxtaposition of smooth architectural shapes and rough organic textures. Each face of the lamp presents us with a different view as geometry battles softer organic forces. Angular cuboid shapes frame the circular centres, as the rough contrasts with the smooth.

On the left, the organic edge of the sculpture is a graphic assertion of the natural, as a projecting curve of rough texture breaks out from the stacked geometry of the main body of the lamp.

Each light is made to order in a signed and numbered limited
edition of 50, hand cast from Martin’s original sculpture.
