The luxury Facet Chandelier is a celebration of the art of modern craftsmanship, foregrounding the pleasure of the handmade and the unique mark of the artist. This centrepiece chandelier adds sculptural depth and presence to interiors.
The chandelier's continuous circle of beautiful natural alabaster stone is suspended by four individual sculpted bronze clasps, an exciting juxtaposition of singular materials and textures.
The Facet explores the contrasting qualities of materials, form and texture. Martin's design opposes the smooth, perfectly honed surface of the circular natural alabaster, with the expressive texture of his sculpted asymmetric facets.
Martin sculpts the individual Facet pieces in plaster, before casting and finishing. This traditional sculpting material allows him to create a richly accented design of organic geometric textures, adding movement and impact to the piece.
