Preview of the Kingston Plaster Lantern

Launching at London Design Week 2025
Design Centre Chelsea Harbour March 10 - 14th

We are delighted to launch Martin Huxford's new hand sculpted plaster collection for 2025 at London Design Week, work which explores the interweaving of country house English heritage, nature and crafted modernity.

Our first preview from the new collection introduces the Kingston Plaster Lantern, Martin's uniquely grand contemporary design of a popular classic.

Martin's re-imagining of the much loved traditional English hall lantern introduces a refreshing clarity and purity of form, distinguished by hand sculpted textural detail. With an approach rooted in the neo classical manor house style, the simplified and repeated shapes of the Kingston Lantern suggest a monumental ancient architecture of columns and arches.

The simple minimalism of Martin's work is softened and transformed by the texture of his hand sculpted plaster, lending the geometric outline of the lantern a unique tactility and warmth.

From his studio based in the Sussex Downs, artist maker Martin Huxford breaks new ground with his latest innovative sculptural plaster lighting and mirror collection, launching at London Design Week 2025, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour March 10 - 14th

Celebrating his studio's 10th anniversary, Martin Huxford's hand sculpted work is commissioned by leading designers for residential and special hotel projects around the world.
