What a perfect time of year to enjoy the key role played by lamp light in creating everything from dramatic pools of light, to an intimate relaxing atmosphere.

Martin's sculptural table lamps with their elemental shapes, expressive textural elements and historic references create a uniquely atmospheric light source.

The sculptural table lamp collection includes a design for every situation, from the monumental scale of the Origin and Brutal lamps at 92cm (36") high excluding the shades, to the smaller abstract forms of the Neo and Acrobat lamps.

The collection embodies Martin's long held interest in combining abstract and elemental shapes with an integral light source, to create unique functional pieces, which hint at anthropomorphic forms and shared myths.

Working initially in plaster, the fluidity of the material allows Martin to explore shape and texture, which he builds up over time. Drawing inspiration from the landscape of the Sussex Downs where his studio is based, Martin combines organic textures with abstract architectural forms.
