Take the bold brutalism of iconic 1960's Centre Point Tower in London, and following a multimillion pound transformation, enjoy its reincarnation as a Grade 2 listed super luxury apartment showstopper. The famous external graphic geometry of the Tower acted as an important reference for acclaimed designers Angel O'Donnell in the creation of their extraordinary show residence.
Warm thanks to Angel O'Donnell for choosing our majestic sculptural lamps for their show residence in this landmark building. The elemental Cerne lamps are an expression of hand sculpted myth making, and a natural textural counterpoint to the rich geometric patterns, thick velvets, smooth polished teak and deep colours of the interior design.
A potent mix of the modern and the mythic, Cerne is a hand sculpted statement lighting piece. Working initially in plaster, Martin uses this traditional material to sculpt and refine the final elemental form. The complexity and richness of texture achieved through the expressiveness of the material, added to the scale of the sculpture, lends the lamps a dramatic and sensory presence.
Martin's sculpted Cerne lamp creates an intriguing tension between the design's reference to ancient brutalist forms, and the contemporary pleasure of hand textured surfaces. We are delighted to have our sculptural Cerne Lamps in this richly layered project. Thank you to Angel O'Donnell, London.
The Cerne Lamp is handmade to order at our Sussex workshop, in a marble or bronze finish.
