Origin is one of a unique series of bronze sculptures by Martin Huxford. The lamp is an exciting juxtaposition of smooth architectural shapes and rough organic textures. Each aspect of the lamp presents us with a different view as geometry battles softer organic forces. Angular cuboid shapes frame circular centres, with rough texture contrasting with the smooth.

The textured organic edge of the sculpture is a graphic assertion of the power of the natural, as a projecting curve of rough texture breaks out from the repeated geometry of the main body of the lamp.

Each light is made to order in a signed and numbered limited edition of 50, hand cast from Martin’s original sculpture.
