The statement Arbour Chandelier unfurls its abstract organic forms to command the space, with an audacious blend of the contemporary, the classical, and the natural world.

A new Romanticism is embodied by the Arbour Chandelier and its other-worldly design. Full of movement and contrasting textures, the Arbour’s sweeping arms and simple modernist shades, are supported by the elegant swan-like neck to create atmosphere and drama.

Sculpting in plaster, Martin has pushed the transformative potential of this traditional material to create an animated design, both plantlike and classical. Martin captures the fluid and tactile quality of plaster, to create a contemporary textured form, full of movement. From the unfolding leafy fronds to the twining arms and abstract oversized buds, the sculpture embodies energy and life.

Each commissioned Arbour Chandelier is a unique sculpture made to order at our Sussex studio. Small differences in design are part of Martin’s sculptural process.
