The Wilding is a unique hand sculpted chandelier by Martin Huxford, with an expressive organic form shaped by his long standing interest in the drama and regenerative power of nature.

Vibrant branch-like arms decorated with protruding buds and abstract magnolia flowers bring a poetic connection with the life force and magic of the outdoors. The Wilding’s surreal organic design updates the eccentric historic traditions of the English manor house, bringing a new contemporary style, rich in character, allusion and texture.

Martin develops the sculptural fluidity of plaster to create an otherworldly organic form. Each branch ends with the flourish of an opened flower, and along its length, carries the hidden promise of new life, bursting from the many budding nodules.

The Wilding chandelier is hand made to order at our Sussex studio, each sculpture is unique and will differ in its details.
