Martin's innate understanding and love of working with brass, steel and bronze began with a childhood spent experimenting in his father's metal workshop. An art training at Central St Martin's London inspired Martin's exploration of the clean beauty of abstract modernist design.

Workshop

Martin's hands-on approach to designing and making exquisite pieces is centred on his studio workshop in West Sussex, the creative heart of his design and artisan production work.

Martin Huxford's collections of modern luxury chandeliers, table lamps, sconces, side tables and mirrors are designed from a carefully chosen palette of rich materials. Hand patinated brass, bronze, nickel, gold, marble, lucite, and verre eglomise mirrors sit alongside mouth blown English lead crystal. Depth, lustre and texture, the hallmarks of traditional artisan skills, are the distinctive foundation of Martin's contemporary designs.
